We are all interesting individuals with our own strengths and challenges, but together our inclusive culture empowers all of us to connect. to belong and to grow. It brings us together in ways that make us all special.
At Edale Stepping Stones we don’t just accept that we are all different, we celebrate it and recognise that is our greatest strength. We draw on the differences in who we are as children, staff and volunteers, what we’ve experienced and how we think. Edale Stepping Stones welcomes children, staff and volunteers from all walks of life and all abilities, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our Centre community stronger. The culture in our Centre is created by individuals coming together, inspiring us to try new things, listening to and trusting each other, collaborating, having the courage to share and encouraging others to do so as well, because we have far more in common than that which divides us.
We have well trained and experienced staff and have a higher staff:child ratio than required by Ofsted. This enables us to provide more individual attention to children with particular needs, be those temporary such as whilst they are settling in, or on-going such as a disability or long-term medical condition.
If your child has a particular need, we would love to have a discussion with you about how we can support your child and you, in making sure that they can have the best possible care and enjoy friendships and learning through play.
