Securing your child’s place

Please note that home visits are not possible at present due to Covid19, so please contact Edale Stepping Stones to arrange a visit to the Centre instead.

To secure your child's place at Edale Stepping Stones we require parents to complete a registration form and we also require a £50 deposit for any child attending full day care. The deposit is credited towards your first invoice. For those children eligible to the government’s funded places, we do not require a deposit but we do require the completed registration form and the unique code for your child’s government funding.

Before your child starts attending Edale Stepping Stones we will ask you to agree and complete a contract and a number of essential permission slips.

For children attending the nursery, we like to provide a 'Home Visit' and up to three induction sessions prior to the start of your childcare. These induction sessions are free. During these sessions your child will meet their key worker and will be introduced to the experience of being in the Centre and others who they will get to know. Our focus is on each child's emotional well-being and the aim is to ensure a smooth transition for your child into nursery.

If you would like a place for your child, please make an appointment and we'll gladly take the time to explain the Centre’s policies and procedures, book your child's induction period and discuss all you need to know about being at Edale Stepping Stones. You can make an appointment by phone or by using our contact form.

No registration fees

There is no registration fee - we believe this to be an unnecessary expense, our aim is to keep your costs to an absolute minimum.

Childcare Fees

Many families will benefit from the entitlement to free childcare, and where you do so you will be asked to register on the government’s website and to provide the Centre with your child’s unique code. You can apply for this at https://www.gov.uk/apply-30-hours-free-tax-free-childcare

Some children will also be entitled to free funding for two year old childcare as noted here https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-2-year-olds

You may wish to have additional time and you will be billed for that separately.

Our fees are as follows:
