What a month this has been!
On 9th September we received confirmation from Ofsted that they had awarded registration for Edale Stepping Stones Nursery and Childcare Centre, unconditionally! We are obviously delighted that Ofsted have approved and acknowledged the work we have done, and are doing, to provide a good quality service that will benefit children and families. The establishment of the Centre could not have been achieved without your contributions. This is a real community enterprise, so you should all feel proud.
As you know, thanks to agreement by the village hall committee, we will be opening in the Village Hall on the 28th September but are hoping to move into the Old Winery, as our permanent home, pending securing full planning permission. The consultation has now begun and we would very much appreciate it if as many as possible of you would please add your comments to the planning permission application for Edale nursery and childcare centre. Please search NP/HPK/0820/0777 on the Peak District National Park Authority website. Many of you were kind enough to do so earlier in the summer, but unfortunately due to unexpected complications, we had to submit the planning again and were not able to transfer the comments.
All the parents and children who are registered with the centre have now visited and met the team. We are really looking forward to welcoming them when they start on the 28th.
