In our survey of parents and children one of the things they told us was that, if possible, they would like more opportunities for the children to take part in Woodland Adventures (forest school) that some children enjoyed last summer.

We are very grateful to Edale Parish Council, to John Gould for coordination, and a huge thank-you to all who volunteered to collect the fees at Edale overspill car park during weekend mornings during July 2021 and during a very miserable February 2022. Our share of the car parking funds will pay for our Woodland Adventures this year in the summer term and August. The funding will also pay for some trips out by train. Learning outside the nursery is a very important part of children’s development and appreciation of the wider world around them. It gives them opportunity to experience first-hand what they would otherwise only know from television or books, which makes their learning real.

We are looking forward to an exciting and adventurous summer!
